Nowadays, there are several desserts from other cultures. Each of them has a special taste, and looks delicious, but they will be bored if they just eat only dessert in their cuisine’s nation. Curiously, Vietnamese and American dessert are unique in decoration and presentation, but they also are similarities in taste.

First of all, Vietnamese dessert and America dessert each have style to decorated. Vietnamese often emphasize simply in their decoration. For example, traditional Vietnamese dessert like chè (sweet soup) are often garnished with fresh herbs, flowers, and coconut to enhance their visual appeal. On the other hand, American desserts tend to showcase boldness and creativity in their decoration. For example, to make them better with a lot of American like icing or sprinkles. The emphasis on presentation in American desserts often reflects a celebratory or festive spirit, making them popular choices for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, or holidays. Moreover, Vietnamese and American desserts differ significantly in how they are traditionally presented and culinary traditions. Vietnamese desserts often focus on simplicity in their presentation. They are typically served in small portions, often in bowl or small dishes. Vietnamese desserts may also be served alongside a small cup of hot tea. In contrast, American desserts are often presented in larger portions. They are frequently showcased on large latters or cake stands with an emphasis on eye-catching presentation. The presentation of American desserts often aligns with a celebration and special occasions where they serve as to be admired and enjoyed by guests.

In addition, Vietnamese and American desserts also has a similar to taste. Both Vietnamese and American desserts reflect the availability of these ingredients in each region as well as cultural preferences. For example, in their dessert recipes, both cuisines are fruits, nuts, dairy products (milk or cream) and sweeteners (sugar or honey). According to Social Gastronomy Movement (2023) (para.3), food has played a vital role in cultural exchange, diplomacy, and community building. In both cultures, desserts are frequently a major part of get togethers, festivities, and special occasions. They are often enjoyed as a way to make socialize with friends and family.

In conclusion, there are many desserts from various cultures in the world. Each of them has a unique flavor and appearance. Surprisingly, Vietnamese and American has a similar to taste, but have different to present and to decorate.
